NIA Team ‘Arrests’ Two Youths

Mangalore: A team from The National Investigation Agency(NIA) visited the district and reportedly took two youths into custody for investigation from Beltangady taluk in connection with the Malegaon blast in 2006.

According to official sources, two inspectors and staff that comprised the team stated that they were collecting evidences from the district in connection with the Malegaon blast. The two youths who were said to be taken into custody are residents of Thotathadi region in Beltangady, sources said.

When Beltangady Sub Inspector Yogeesh Kumar was contacted, he denied any arrests by any agency.
