Mangalore: The annual festival of Shree Kodamanithaya Kshetra, Shibaroor was begins here on Friday. 
Tulunadu is well known for its temples and Daivastanas. Among the Daivastanas, Shibaroor Kodamanithaya Daivastana has been recognized for its divinity and historical background.
It is renowned as a divine-centre which showers peace and tranquility to all of its devotees. 
Shibaroor Kshetra is about 25kms away from Mangalore city, about 2kms away from Shree Kshetra Kateel and about 3kms away from Kinnigoli.
Shree Kodamanithaya Daivastana is situated in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.
The Dwajarohana of the Daivastana takes place on Dhanu Sankramana(which comes in the month of December) every year.
Next day morning Tulabhara seva and at the Nema of Shree Ullaya Daiva, Kancheelu Seva, Urulu Seva Programmes take place followed by Annasantharpane. The same night, the Nema of Shree Kodamanithaya and Bandi Utsava take place.
The next day onwards the religious ceremonies such as Nemotsava for Kantheri Dhoomavati, Sarala Dhoomavati, Jarandaya Daiva, Kaiyur Dhoomavati and Pilichamundi Daiva are performed.


There is Annasantharpane to devotees every day fromDwajarohana (begining of the festival) to Dwajawarohana (end of the festival).
